Our impact

CAG Somerset is set up to support the growing number of community action groups delivering activities including reuse, repair, waste reduction, sharing, surplus food, composting, tackling climate change or encouraging sustainable behaviours.

CAG Somerset supports grassroots members in many ways from guidance on governance and insurance to access to the small grants fund and building relationships with our Connector members.

We run free training sessions and workshops to skill up and empower volunteers in relevant areas such as safeguarding, PAT testing, digital communications skills and first aid.

The network is growing and evolving as we listen to the changing needs and wants of our members. Network members have achieved great things in their communities. One of the benefits to CAG membership is help in turning data your community groups collects into useable and relevant information.

This infographic shows just some of the tangible impact that our members have achieved as a collective.

What the above infographic doesn’t capture, are the moments of community, friendship and connection happening across the network.
