Introducing the CAG Somerset Connector Membership: Building a Stronger, Greener Future Together

At CAG Somerset, we believe in the power of grassroots action to drive meaningful change. Our network of local Community Action Groups (CAGs) is a testament to that belief, with each group working to improve environmental sustainability, resilience, and climate action across Somerset. We have been receiving more and more enquiries and interest from organisations and projects that have an interest in supporting, connecting and getting involved with community action groups within the CAG network.

That’s why we’re excited to launch the CAG Somerset Connector Membership—a new initiative designed to link larger organisations, partnerships, and projects with our vibrant network of community groups. This membership offers a unique opportunity for organisations who share our vision for a more sustainable future to join forces with grassroots groups making a difference in their local communities.

Why Join the CAG Somerset Connector Network?

At CAG Somerset, we offer free day-to-day support to our network of local community action groups, helping them with reuse, repair, waste reduction, sharing, surplus food, composting, tackling climate change or encouraging sustainable behaviours within communities.. As we continue to grow, we’re looking to strengthen those efforts by opening the door for organisations that support our core mission but have a broader remit.

The Connector Membership is specifically designed for organisations and partnerships that want to get involved and contribute to the network of community groups working on issues like:

  • Reuse
  • Repair
  • Waste reduction
  • Sharing economy
  • Surplus food
  • Composting
  • Tackling climate change
  • Promoting sustainable behaviours

If your organisation wants to connect with community groups involved in this work—and help amplify the impact of community-driven change—this membership is for you!
