CAG Somerset is excited to announce Roots to Shoots: Growing Inspirational Ideas, an immersive, hands‑on community Skillshare event.

Designed to spark imagination, support local action, and nurture community resilience, this dynamic event brings together inspirational speakers, practical workshops, garden‑based learning and opportunities to connect with others making a difference across Somerset.

Discover the power of pro‑social environments and explore how small acts of community action can strengthen social connection and social health.

🌾 Mud Balls & Seed Bombs with Martyn Richards (Agriton UK)

Get hands-on while making EM mud balls and seed bombs—fun, practical tools for soil health, regeneration and biodiversity. Using biology to restore balance.

🌿 Community Activators Workshop with Edventure

Be inspired by real examples of rural community projects and learn how to activate ideas, engage people and spark local momentum.

🌼 Guided Growing-Space Tour with Nicola, Head Gardener at ARK

Explore ARK at Egwood’s thriving growing areas and discover how land‑based projects support wellbeing, skills and community.

🔪 Chop & Chat with Chef Educator Catherine Maxwell

Join Catherine, a Michelin‑trained under Michel Roux Jr, award‑winning educator, and community cooking champion for a friendly cop & chat about all things food, nutrition and empowering people to cook well on any budget. Don’t miss her!

💬 1:1 Community Aspirations Surgeries with CAG Somerset

Bring your ideas, challenges or ambitions for your community group and receive tailored support from the CAG Somerset team.

📱 Tech Amnesty with the Fixy Project

Donate your unused tech to help close the digital divide and support digital inclusion across Somerset. Fixy will be launching ARK as the latest drop off point to a growing network of tech collectors.

Enjoy free teas, coffees and a delicious lunch in the beautiful ARK surroundings.
