Ben Thorne – senior farm environment advisor at FWAG

Ben will be talking about what can be done to reduce the severity and frequency of flooding from the land around Ilminster using natural processes and green engineering.

His talk will draw on 10 years of knowledge from the ‘hills to levels’ initiative that was set up after the major floods in the winter of 2013/14. An illustrated talk with lots of examples of projects and solutions –  from river restoration to sole regeneration.

Doors open 6.45pm for refreshments

Talk begins at 7.30pm

Free entry, no booking required
