Community buildings and repair cafes

Tuesday, 18 March @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Copy of Digital skills day

Join CAG Somerset and the Community Council for Somerset (CCS) for a collaborative session on community buildings and how they can offer their spaces to support the start-up of repair cafes.

As part of ‘Village Halls Week’ from March 16th to 22nd, CAG and CCS are hosting an informative session on how community buildings can support the establishment of new repair cafes within existing communities. Repair cafes are excellent events that unite communities, fostering cohesion while promoting the principles of repairing, reducing waste, and reusing materials.

Minehead repair cafe, a CAG Somerset group,  will share their experience of setting up a recent cafe and guide you through the processes involved, and the support they received from CAG.

There will be an opportunity for questions and conversations.

Suitable for both community building trustees and people interested in setting up a repair cafe.

Everyone welcome

A picture of a community allotment. wooden planters are in neat rows with small paths between them. Within the planters are different green leafy plants of varying heights. In some planters are canes growing peas. All plants appear to be seasonal summer vegetables. To the back right of the image are some sheds and the community allotment continues right through the image
