Untitled design (28)

We invite volunteers, organisers and supporters of repair and reuse projects to come together for this roundtable event to share experiences, exchange resources, support one another, and strengthen connections across the network.

This is an opportunity for you to steer the conversation and identify ways for you to develop your ideas, share your challenges and celebrate community action already happening.

Where: The Welsh Mill hub, Park Hill Drive, Frome, BA112LE.

Date: Monday 13th July

Time: 10:30 – 12:30pm

Attendees are welcome to stay for a BYO (bring your own) lunch after to continue conversations and build on connections made.

Fromebase is a project developed by Frome residents as a result of Edventure’s incubation start up course. It is a DIY and building material reuse shop where every purchase goes to fund community DIY workshops that help locals master new skills.

During this session you will.

  • Enjoy a short tour of Fromebase and hear about their journey
  • Meet likeminded community action groups in your area
  • Connect with CAG staff to discuss your support needs
  • Engage in lively discussions around repair and reuse barriers and opportunities
  • Share ideas with other projects
  • Steer the conversation

We support and help community action groups who focus on re-use, repair, reduction, sharing, surplus food or composting.

A picture of a community allotment. wooden planters are in neat rows with small paths between them. Within the planters are different green leafy plants of varying heights. In some planters are canes growing peas. All plants appear to be seasonal summer vegetables. To the back right of the image are some sheds and the community allotment continues right through the image
