DESCRIPTION:Ben Thorne – senior farm environment advisor at FWAG \nBen will be talking about what can be done to reduce the severity and frequency of flooding from the land around Ilminster using natural processes and green engineering. \nHis talk will draw on 10 years of knowledge from the ‘hills to levels’ initiative that was set up after the major floods in the winter of 2013/14. An illustrated talk with lots of examples of projects and solutions –  from river restoration to sole regeneration. \nDoors open 6.45pm for refreshments \nTalk begins at 7.30pm \nFree entry\, no booking required \nDonations welcome.
